Enjoy your Michigan summer under the warm sun! Situated right next to the water, your Michigan camping experience at the Monroe KOA will remind you of the good old days at summer camp! Our campground features 2 lakes, so be prepared to get wet! We have a swimming lake with a manicured sandy beach and a fishing lake for getting that perfect catch! If you're looking for more action, go roaring down the 220 foot double loop water slide to really get your heart pumping! After cooling off in the lake, join in our on-site activity fun. Choose from dozens of games and planned programs. We are always adding new and exciting things for your family to enjoy at our KOA campground. We know you come here for fun, and that's what we're here for! A resort fee* of only $4 per day per site allows everyone in your group to enjoy many of these campground amenities:
* The $4.00/day/site resort fee is automatically charged during the camping season from Memorial Day through Halloween weekends. Campers will be issued wristbands for each person on their site to identify our campers to staff. We also offer the following activities at an additional cost:

Free Camping on "Come Kamp and Care With Us Weekend" – All sites buy one night second night free! Auction with door prizes, Rubber Ducky Regatta, Magic Show, Game Shows with prizes, Build your own sundaes, and many more activities to raise money for our kids with cancer camps! Bring an item ($25 or higher) to receive a coupon for a free night. Sun-Thur. We are one of the biggest fundraising campgrounds in KOA system.
May 21-22
Annual Fishing Tournament! Cast your lines and reel in the big fun! Great prizes and huge fun for all.
May 28-30
Memorial Day Weekend (3 night minimum) Kick the summer kamping season off right. Make fun crafts, dance to great music, get to know your fellow kampers and just have fun with the family.
June 4-5
Boy and Girl Scout Jamboree! Special rates for scout groups. Fun competitions and activities planned-bring the whole troop!
Fourth of July Weekend
July 2-5 (3 night minimum) Red, White & Blue parade through the campground, so decorate your bike, motorcycle, wagon, car, truck, van, etc., or just walk in the parade through KOA. Bring your flags, Uncle Sam hats and your best 4th of July decorations! Cap off the fun with a spectacular fireworks show on the 4th! (All events weather permitting)
July 16-17
Family Sand Castle Contest! Bring the entire family and sculpt your way to great prizes and fun! Great beach fun all weekend
August 28
Open Car / Truck Show. Promoted by NWO Street Machiners. All makes & models welcome. Open to street rods, custom, classic, trucks, sports, street machines, and vintage vehicles. Registration is FREE with a donation to Kids Cancer Care Camps. Free Parking with donation to Care Camps, food on grounds, and 50s & 60s music with Shock n Rock! Show is Rain or Shine!
September 3-6
Labor Day Weekend (3 night minimum) You have labored all year long-now its time for fun! Relax on the beach, enjoy the sunshine and play your cares away. Great activities are planned all weekend long.
September 10-11
Spook and Splash Weekend - Halloween with a double twist - waterslide ! (Weather permitting) The official opening of Halloween weekends! Events will vary from regular Halloween weekend, however Count Wakula the magician will be here as well!
September 15
5th Annual KOA Kare Kamps Golf Outing. A great golf outing to benefit the Kare Kamps. A four person best ball tournament, 18 holes with cart. Also included is a Hog Roast, raffle, door prizes, and pin prizes.
