Here at Monroe KOA, a wide range of activities are offered - some recreation is free, and others have a small fee.

Activity Fees & Rental Rates
For a small fee, the following activities are available. Click your mouse on any of the bike or boat rentals below to view a photograph of each in the space below.

The Monroe KOA Waterslide

One of our more popular attractions is our 220-foot, double-loop waterslide. The Waterslide is positioned between our two ponds, and it empties into a protected landing pool. The pool is 27 inches deep, and is monitored at all times by a certified lifeguard. A wooden staircase, seen at the right, leads up to the top of the slide, where a second lifeguard directs campers.

Free Waterslide for Registered Campers

Sunday through Thursday, registered campers are eligible for free waterslide passes. A pass will be issued to include each night spent at the campground - this pass may be exchanged at the boat shack for waterslide bands each day that you are staying. Day-use campers are not eligible for the free waterslide.

The following activities are available at no charge, but a deposit is required, which is refunded in full when the equipment is returned intact.

Fishing - Catch and Release only, bring your own pole, no lisence required. Bait is sold at the store or boat shack.

Animated Bass

Here at Monroe KOA in our 3-acre kidney shaped lake, fishing is enjoyed as recreation as well as a game to earn a free night or a water slide pass. We have Bass, Blue Gill, Catfish, Perch and Crappie, stocked 2 times a year. All are welcome to fish! Fish from the shore or cast a line from one of our rental boats!

Fishing Rules

Catch a bass 16-18 inches and you will receive two free ALL DAY waterslide bands.
Catch a bass 18 inches or larger and you will receive a free night of camping, up to $33.00 in value.
Catch a catfish over 22 to 26 inches long and you will receive two free ALL DAY waterslide bands.
Catch catfish over 26 inches long and you will receive a free night of camping, up to $33.00 in value.
Second fish and thereafter on the same day get 2 all-day waterslide bands.
YOU MUST SHOW YOUR FISH TO A STORE/OFFICE EMPLOYEE TO REDEEM YOUR PRIZE.
Fish must be alive and in a bucket of water, and must swim away when put back in water to receive free night/waterslide bands.
We sell nightcrawlers and fishing supplies in the main KOA store and at the boat shack.
Limit 1 free night a day, per site; no cash back refunds on free camping nights.
Free night prize can only be used with the purchase of another night at the regular rate.
Only one free night prize can be used per stay.
Fish MUST be alive and able to swim to get your free night (Call the Kampground for more details).
